Games Mascot
Games Mascot
“UZUMIN,” the mascot of the 5th Asian Para Games, was born from “water,” which has supported Aichi, the craftmanship kingdom, becoming one with Shachihoko, the guardian deity of Aichi-Nagoya.
The name “UZUMIN” is based on the Japanese words “Uzu (whirlpool)” and “Izumi (spring),”expanding the concept of “water.” It represents our hope that the passion of Para athletes will converge like a “whirlpool” and gather in Aichi-Nagoya and the excitement born there will well up like a “spring” and spread throughout Asia at the Games.
